Crumple-Horned Snorkacks! It seems Professor Snape did assign the second essay. Luckily after reading his announcement I found it in my notes. It will definitely need a bit more work tomorrow, but it shall be completed on time.

Recieved an invitation to a party in the Room of Requirements. It sounds like a lot of fun, as long as I do not have to dance. Seems like Padma said that she did not have much fun at the Yule Ball because Ron would not dance with her. Maybe if it is a party with dancing I'll hang out with Ron. I'm certain he would not mind too much.

Enjoyed my walk after finishing my potions essay immensly. There is a rumor that Harry has returned and has some piercings. I've heard everything from a tongue ring, to piercings in unmentionable areas. Strange. I never took Harry as the piercings type. Maybe he is going for that bad boy appeal. Girls will probably throw themselves at him more than ever now. I hope he is doing all right. I know Sirius's death affected him deeply. Maybe I should talk to him...

Another thing that I at least think I heard was that Professor Lupin is back teaching DADA. Maybe we will learn something worth knowing for once. No one can be worse than Umbridge though...

Hermione told me earlier that she caught Seamus looking at me. I always thought he was into blokes, Dean in particular. Not that either are at all unattractive. I mean, who can resist that Irish charm. Who am I kidding? Seamus is not interested in me in any sort of romantic way. Hermione must have just misinterpreted. *stares off for a while* I wonder if Seamus was just noticing the butterbeer cap necklace. Yes, that must be it.

Finished my essay on the uses of moonstone in the peace draught for Professor Snape. Apparently 6th years have two essays to write. As far as I know 5th years only had one. *sigh* Unfortunately something tells me I may be mistaken. I guess I'll check my notes later. I think I'm going to go for a walk.

Ran into Padma. She seems stressed.

Luna: Having potions problems Padma?
Padma: yes! can you help?
Luna: Unfortunately as a 5th year, I don't think my potions essay is going to help you much. Have you asked Hannah?
Padma: no, I can't find her
Luna: owl her?
Padma: good point
Luna: Good luck!
Padma: thanks! *goes to owl Hannah*

I hope she finds out what she needs. Snape can be pretty nasty if these essays aren't perfect.
